Used extensively in manufacturing and domestic environments, construction and building industries, packaging and automotive industries, cap plugs provide protection and finish to the exposed ends of tubes and pipes, they can also be used as decorative features and electrical caps and connectors providing insulation, and also as tamper-proof closure for gas cylinders and containers carrying hazardous or explosive substances.

Materials used for cap plugs vary from metals, wood, paper, rubber, silicone and plastic and plastic compounds. These materials are chosen to fit the applications for which they are being utilized.

Some of the varieties of cap plugs available are:

Electrical connectors: these cap plugs help to prevent dust, dirt, moisture and other contaminants from entering the electrical connectors. When they are manufactured in a flanged design, they can be used to fit over a variety of dimensions and they can also be quickly removed and replaced.

Threaded/Non-threaded: These versatile caps are used in many industrial and home environments to provide finishing to exposed ends of tubes and pipes. Threaded caps may be stud or dome types which are easier to grip and don't allow moisture or water to stay on their surface.

Grease caps: have an additional gasket or liner for better grip and closing. They are usually made of materials which resist acids and solvents while providing good sealing for grease fittings.

Round, square and rectangular: are used in home applications, to cover ends of tubular shelving, tool and broom ends, gardening tools, kitchen items, patio and office furniture. Retailers can also emboss these with their logo or other designs.

O-ring: caps have internal ribs for a more secure fit and provide firm grip and closure on a fitting-nut.

Flanged caps: these provide a good outer protection to tube/pipe ends and they're easily removed and fitted.

Push-fit: caps are very easy to fit on and remove. They come in different colors and textures and can be used in a variety of applications such as to cover the ends of packaging tubes. They can also be used to cover the ends of threaded and beveled pipes and tubes to prevent scratches, splitting and damage to pipes during transportation and storage. These caps also keep out moisture and debris. They are a great cost-effective solution and can be customized to your requirements and discarded after use.

Tube and pipe: these are multipurpose caps which can be used to protect and finish the exposed ends of tubes and pipes to prevent them from getting scratched, pitted, cracked, split or damaged.

Hanger and tab: These caps serve both aesthetic and functional purposes. Hanger caps have an opening on top which will allow the product to be hung by its capped top. This is great in retail and domestic applications. Tab ended caps with tear-off facilities maybe tamper-proof or tamper-evident for additional safety in gas-cylinder caps. Grab-tab caps are easy to grip and hold can be embossed with your company logo.

Static dissipative/Conductive: caps are used in electrical applications.
